OMAHA -- George Lee Todd, 86, died Thursday (Feb. 26, 2004) at Good Samaritan Center in Omaha.
He was born Dec. 29, 1917, to Harold and Flossie Todd in Nehawka. He lived most of his life in Chase County. He attended school in Imperial.
On Aug. 20, 1938, he married Iona "Nonie" Pearl Browning. He spent several years at Frenchman Valley Farmers Coop.
Following a stroke in 1997, he resided in Omaha at the Remington Heights Assisted Living Facility and more recently at the Millard Good Samaritan Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nonie; son, Joe; and siblings, Bud, Margaret, Charlotte and Wayne.
Survivors include three sons, Jim and wife, Paula of Manassas, Va., Gary and wife, Ann of Omaha and Randy of Mancos, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Mary Todd of Garland, Texas; two brothers, Jack Todd and wife, Betty of Grant and Bill Todd and wife, Jean of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Maxine Fosbinder and husband, Kermit of Grant and Marion Titze and husband, Dan of Omaha.; sisters-in-law, Vivian Todd of Imperial and Mary Todd of Leota, Kan.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Imperial with Murray Schmechel officiating. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
