CURTIS -- The Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture-Curtis men's basketball team finished its regular season with a home win on Thursday night.

The Aggies defeated the Ogalla Lakota Indians of South Dakota 91-83.

The Aggies jumped right out to a 51-39 halftime advantage, but lost ground several times during the second half.

After 10 minutes of play in the second half, the scoreboard showed a score of 64-61 with NCTA barely hanging on.

It took another run by the Aggies to secure the win," said NCTA coach Del Van Der Werff, who earned his 400th career victory.

"Bret Campbell and Jeremy Poss picked a good time to have good games."

Campbell scored 18 of his 27 points in the first half, collected 18 rebounds, and had 9 assists.

Point guard Poss of Greeley scored 17 points, gathered 7 rebounds and also had 9 assists.

Levi Durnal, Josh McClain, and Ryan Sedlacek added 14, 13 and 11 points.

Gary Young Bull Bear led the Indians with 21 and Colin Pretends Eagle scored 19 points.

The win put the Aggies season at 10-10 and could qualify them for a National Tournament in March.

The pairings will be announced next week.
