Three trucks loaded with wind generator blades for a wind site in southeast Minnesota inch westward up West B Street early Monday morning, bound for a wind site at Adams, Minn. The owner of the trucks, Al Johnson of Clintonville, Wis., said the left-hand turn from Highway 83 onto B Street at East Sixth in McCook is one of the trucks' toughest on the Houston-Minnesota route. With their own support trucks and help from local law enforcement, the trucks swung into the south lane (the eastbound lane) at McCook's west junction to pull back onto Highway 83 and continue north. Fifteen more blades will come through McCook during the next two or three weeks, he said.
