TRENTON -- Dorothy "Dottie" Elizabeth Wimer, 63, died Sunday (Feb. 1, 2004) at El Dorado Manor in Trenton.
She was born Sept. 30, 1940, to William and Dorothy (Kier) Lyman in Omaha. When she was nine-years-old the family moved to Leadville, Colo., where she grew up and received her education.
On Nov. 17, 1960, she married Donald L. Wimer in Cheyenne, Wyo. The couple resided in Denver. They moved to the family farm southwest of Culbertson in 1963. The couple moved to El Dorado Manor in 1999.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Stratton and the Holly Chapter 233 Order of Eastern Star in Benkelman.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; one son, David and wife, Carol of Trenton; one daughter, Barbara Smith of Hastings; and three grandchildren.
Services are Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Stratton with the Rev. Norman Prather officiating. Inurnment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Stratton.
Memorials may be given in her name and left at Herrmann Funeral Home.
