C. Dale Yauk

C. Dale Yauk, 82, died Sunday (Jan. 18, 2004) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

He was born Sept. 7, 1921, to William and Cora (Mabry) Yauk in Kansas. He grew up in Imperial where he graduated from Imperial High School in 1939.

On Aug. 8, 1942, he married Ola Maggard in Oberlin. The couple resided in Oberlin before moving to McCook where he worked as a bookkeeper and parts man for Budig Motors before working for Hormel Chevrolet. He retired from Howard Kool motors in 1983.

He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Church.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Cecel Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Ola of McCook; one daughter, Dee Swanson and husband, Marion of Hastings; one brother, William Yauk and wife, Nadine of Laverne, Calif.; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday, 1 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in McCook with Elder Tim Hutchins officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery in Oberlin.
