PLATTSMOUTH -- Barbara Jane Ozbun, 72, died Friday (Jan. 9, 2004) at her home in Plattsmouth.
She was born Jan. 7, 1932, to William and Beulah Lorraine (Edgett) Weber in Culbertson. She grew up in Culbertson where she graduated from Culbertson High School. She graduated from business college in Fairbury. She worked as a bookkeeper in McCook and Harlan, Iowa before going to work for the Nebraska Department of Revenue for several years, until her retirement.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Plattsmouth and she was a volunteer grandparent in the Head State Program.
She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Richard Weber and Douglas Weber; and one sister, Imogene Jahoreck.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Jones and husband, Charles of Murray; three sons, Don Ozbun and wife, Joanne of Atlantic, Iowa, Steven Osbun and wife, Jerry, of Harlan, Iowa, Mark Ozbun and wife, Teresa of Marion, Iowa; her mother, Beulah Weber of Culbertson; three sisters, Lillian Tucker and husband, Jerry of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mildred Brady and husband, Dick of Albuquerque, N.M., and Darleen Henderson of Omaha; and one brother, William and wife, Sue of Culbertson;and 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Graveside services are Tuesday, 3 p.m., at the Culbertson Cemetery with the Rev. Bryan Hopfensperger officiating.
Visitation is Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Culbertson, 1-2:30 p.m.
