Cambridge wrestlers fall to NP-St. Pag's

NORTH PLATTE -- The Cambridge wrestling team lost a Nebraska Class D dual to North Platte-St. Patrick's 43-16 Tuesday at the NPSP gym.

Cambridge's Tyler Keyser won a 12-1 decision over NPSP's Bryant Haremza at 125 pounds.

Chase Shifflett, who is unbeaten this season, moved up to 130 pounds and pinned Irish sophomore Michael Budke with 1:20 left in the third period.

Whitney Jones at 171 pounds decisioned Barrett Brown 16-14 in overtime.

The Trojans picked up another 6 points with a forfeit at 112 pounds.

Cambridge's Bronson Soucie lost his first match of the season at 215 pounds. Soucie (9-1) was pinned by Alex Arthur, who moved up from 189 pounds.

Kirby Johnson wrestled at 189 pounds for the Trojans and lost a decision to Dan Dobesh.

Kevin Jones lost a highly-competitive 11-10 decision at 152 pounds to Joe Thomsen.

Also dropping matches for the Trojans were Kyle Custer (135 pounds) and Scott Kutnink (160).
