ATWOOD -- Doris M. (Zimmerle) Paulson, 94, died Sunday (Jan. 4, 2004) at Good Samaritan Center in Atwood.
She was born May 20, 1909, in Sutton to Peter and Elizabeth (Brehm) Zimmerle.
On Feb. 14, 1939, she married Leonard G. Zimmerle in Wickenburg, Ariz. The couple lived most of their life in Rawlins County. They later moved to Atwood in 1950.
She was a farm wife and a homemaker. She had worked at Egan Drug in St. Francis for 12 years, Graves Department Store of Atwood for 18 years and was an Avon representative for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard on Jan. 13, 1967; brothers, Ben and Wesley Zimmerle; and sisters, Edna Leibbrandt, Luella Geenen and Irene Powell.
Survivors include nieces, Naomi Renz of Denver, Colo., Phyllis Crandal of Sugar Land, Texas and Ruth Pinkerton of Benkelman; nephews, Charles Leibbrandt and wife, Berna of Atwood, Benjamin Leibbrandt and wife, Pat of St. Francis and George Geenen of Lee's Summit, Mo.
Services are Saturday, 2 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Atwood with the Rev. Terry McGuire officiating. Interment will be in the Atwood Fairview Cemetery. Final rites will be conducted by Eastern Star Radiant Chapter 229 at the church.
Visitation is Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., at Brantley Funeral Home and Saturday from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.
Memorials may be given in her name to Atwood Good Samaritan Center or the Atwood United Methodist Church.
