LANHAM, Md. -- Carol Jean Hallman, 54, of Riverdale, Md., died Saturday (Jan. 3, 2004) at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, Md.

She was born Sept. 7, 1949, in Oxford to Harold and Maria Anna (Ziebell) Weber.

She was raised on the family farm north of Arapahoe and graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1967. She went on to attend Grand Island School of Business. After receiving her schooling she went to Washington, D.C., and worked for the FBI as a paralegal for the next 35 years.

On Sept. 28, 1985, she married Robert E. Hallman in Oxon Hill, Md.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Greenbelt, Md., and the Elks Lodge Women's Group of Riverdale, Md.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brother, Darrel Weber.

Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Hallman of Riverdale, Md.; one brother, Lyle and wife, Colleen Weber of Arapahoe; and sister, June and husband, Don Warner of Kearney.

Services are Saturday, 2 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe with the Rev. Jeff Ernstmeyer officiating. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery of Arapahoe.

Visitation is Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe is in charge of the arrangements.
