DEWEY, Okla. ‚ Dollie Marie (Marquardt) Houston, 69, formerly of McCook, died Tuesday (Jan. 6, 2004) at the Medicalodge at Dewey, Okla.
She was born May 1, 1934, at Trenton. She was raised in the Trenton community and graduated from Trenton High School in 1953.
On May 23, 1953, she married Lloyd LeRoy Houston at Trenton. They lived in McCook, later moved to Walnut, Iowa, and in 1979 moved to Oklahoma where they lived in the Bowring and Dewey communities. She was employed by Luby's Cafeteria until failing health forced her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Marquardt.
Survivors include two sons, James LeRoy Houston of Atlantic, Iowa, and Loyd Ernest Houston and wife, Kathy of Walnut; three daughters, Sandra Kay Peterson of Palm Bay, Fla., Mary Lea Gould and husband, Jeff of Swan, Iowa, and Donna JoAnn Salinas and husband, Chino of Dewey; one sisters, Joan Simondi and husband, Fred of Woodward, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Private services will take place later under the direction of the Arnold Moore Funeral Service of Bartlesville, Okla.
