KEARNEY -- Bryce M. Brown, 65, of Culbertson, died Sunday (Dec. 21, 2003) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
He was born Nov. 13, 1938, to James and Letha (Williamson) Brown in Hitchcock County. He grew up on the family farm where he was born and graduated from Trenton High School in 1956.
He entered the Air Force following the Korean Conflict. He received his private pilots license following his military service and worked for the Cessna and Western Electric at Wichita, Kan. He also worked as a civilian on helicopters during the Vietnam era. He returned to farming in Hitchcock County on a farm he purchased south east of Trenton in 1968.
On Feb. 13, 1970, he married Pamela Schmidt in Juarez, Mexico.
He was a former member of AOPA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Brown of Culbertson; one daughter, Andrea Brown of Kearney; two sons, Clarence Brown of Kearney and Curtis Brown of Culbertson; three brothers, Robert Brown and wife, Nancy of Trenton, Marion Brown and wife, Sandel of McCook and Dale Brown and wife, Sarah of Omaha; six sisters, Joan Keeney of Norfolk, Vernelle Petsch of McCook, Nancy Harper and husband, Cal of Wichita, Kan., Linda Jacobsen of Eagle Rock, Mo., Katherine Mann and husband, Bill of Reno, Nev., and Sheila Frazier and husband, Rick of Westminister, Colo.
Private family services are Wednesday at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Dan Spearow officiating. Interment is in Trenton Cemetery in Trenton.
There will be a public dinner and meeting with the family, Wednesday, 12 p.m., at the TCDC Building in Trenton.
Memorials may be given in his name to a local food bank or friends may call the funeral home in Trenton, today until 8 p.m.
