Ida Mae Sitzman

Ida Mae Sitzman, 80, died Thursday (Dec. 11, 2003) at her home in McCook.

She was born June 11, 1923, at Indianola, to Floyd Elmer and Anna (Reiter) Peters. She attended Red Willow Public School.

On June 15, 1941, she married Carl Sitzman in Oberlin. She was employed as a clerk for Prest Drug and Alco Pharmacy for many years as well as a homemaker.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Anna Peters; her husband Carl Sitzman on May 17, 1993; two brothers, Floyd and Lawrence Peters; five sisters, Cleo Nelms, Violet Creasman, Wilma Hein, Maritta Howard, Jean Olivieri and two infant sisters.

Survivors include her son, Terry Sitzman and wife, Marlys of McCook; two daughters, Carolyn and husband, Bill Harper of Wichita, Kan., and Linda and husband, Jim Herbek, of Princeton, Ky.; two brothers, Lee Peters and wife, Clara, and Dale Peters all of North Platte; one sister, Elsie Manzell of Spokane, Wash.; sister-in-law, Anna Mae Peters of North Platte; brother-in-law, Joe Olivieri of Albany, Ore.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Randy Wahl officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is today 9 a.m.-8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials may be given in her name to Peace Lutheran Church.
