Hilker, Dame wedding

Amanda and Cody Dame
Amanda Marie Hilker and Cody Douglas Dame, both of McCook, were united in marriage Aug. 30, 2003, at First Baptist Church in McCook with the Rev. Stan Hendershot officiating.

Parents of the couple are Kent and Lori Hilker and Douglas and Brenda Dame, both of McCook.

Grandparents of the couple are Gene and Marge Malleck, Evelyn Miller, Kenneth and Betty Bradley and Robert and Verna Dame, all of McCook, and Lyle and Leona Hilker of Oberlin. Great-grandmother of the bride is Lorene Malleck of McCook.

The bride wore a sleeveless, white, satin gown with crystal beads and sequins in a flower design on the bodice, skirt and the cathedral-length train. She wore a rhinestone tiara and tulle veil with satin trim. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, pink and white miniature carnations, pink lilies and baby's breath.

The bridegroom wore a white dover-length tuxedo with a sage green satin vest and tie. His boutonniere was a white rose.

The maid of honor was Kayla Guthrie of McCook. The bridesmaids were Lindsey Dame, sister of the bridegroom, and Stephanie Gaboury, both of McCook. They each wore floor-length, sage green gowns of shimmering organza over taffeta. They carried a single long-stem pink rose, greenery and baby's breath wrapped with iridescent pink ribbons. The bride's personal attendant was Lisa Malleck of Lincoln, aunt of the bride.

The best men were Joshua Koetter and Benjamin Keller-Hancock, both of McCook. The bridegroomsman was Shane Hilker of McCook, brother of the bride. They each wore black tuxedos with sage green vests and ties.

The flower girl was Lauren Koetter of McCook. She wore a satin and tulle sage green dress and wore a halo of baby carnations and baby's breath in her hair. The ring bearer was Joseph Dodson of Lincoln, cousin of the bride. He wore a black tuxedo.

Candlelighters for the ceremony were Keri Hilker of McCook, sister of the bride, and Erica Malleck of York, cousin of the bride.

Ushers for the ceremony were Josey Stone of Kansas City, Mo., Derek Dame of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom, and Eric Linnemeyer of McCook.

The organist was Evie Caldwell and Dale Malleck of Tennessee, uncle of the bride, was the soloist and played the guitar.

Chelsey Dame and Branigan Dame, both cousins of the bridegroom from McCook, handed out programs. The bubble attendants were Erin Malleck of York, Haley Hilker and Amber Hilker, both of McCook, all cousins of the bride, and Bryce Dame of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom. The gift attendant was Brady Dame of McCook, cousin of the bride. The guestbook attendant was Stacie Lankford of Kearney, cousin of the bridegroom.

The reception was at the Knights of Columbus Hall in McCook. The host couples were Keith and Ruth Bradley of McCook, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom and Dan and Kay Malleck of York, uncle and aunt of the bride. Reception assistants included Cindy Dame and Linda Dame of McCook, aunts of the bridegroom, Rhonda Hilker of McCook and Connie Hilker of Lincoln, both aunts of the bride.

The videographer and DJ was Divine Production and Ken Dow of Indianola.

The cake was made by Eloise Farber of McCook and the bridesmaids hair was done by Tyra Barger of Kearney.

The bride is attending McCook Community College and is employed with Wal Mart. The bridegroom is the owner of Divine Productions, works at Sears and is the assistant manager at Cinema 3 of McCook.

The couple is making their home in McCook.
