Ida R. Gygax

NORTH PLATTE -- Ida R. Gygax, 101, died Monday (Dec. 8, 2003) at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte.

She was born May 10, 1902, in Hayes Center to Henry and Dorothea (Wall) Hofman.

On April 13, 1947, she married Albert Gygax. She moved to North Platte in 1989.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988; her parents; six sisters; and six brothers.

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Malone of Palisade and Erma Hoeme of Scott City, Kan.; two brothers, Walter and wife, Elsie Hofman and Victor Hofman, both of Imperial.

Services are Friday, 11 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Curtis with the Rev. Frederick Simon of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in North Platte officiating. Interment is in Curtis Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Stained Glass Window Memorial Fund at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Visitation is today, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte.
