LINCOLN -- Felicia Nicole McKenzie of McCook and Chad Robert Christensen of Lincoln were united in marriage April 5, 2003, at Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Greg Bouvier officiating.

Parents of the couple are Jack and Nancy McKenzie of McCook and Dean and Sylvia Christensen of Lincoln. Grandparents of the couple are Nanette Baumfalk of Atwood, the late Virgil Baumfalk, the late Dean and Arlene McKenzie, Robert Jahnel of Blair, the late Venda Jahnel and the late Russell and Margorie Christensen.

The bride wore a strapless, princess-line gown of white eggshell satin, with a warm gold satin sash sewn into the bodice of the gown at the waist. The sash came together and overlapped in the back into two long trains down the semi-cathedral length gown. The dress expressed colors of copper, gold, brown and taupe embroidered into cascades of flowers down the center of each train. The embroidery was accented with Austrian crystal sewn into the center of each flower by the grandmother of the bride, Nanette Baumfalk. The mother of the bride made the dress.

The bride had ribbons of copper, gold and cream woven through her hair. She carried a combination bouquet of white and cream roses with accents of goldenrod spirea and ivy.

The bridegroom wore a black, single-breasted tuxedo with a white vest and tie. His boutonniere was a single white rose.

The matron of honor was Keri Dodge of Westminister, Colo. The bridesmaids were Heather Gearhart of Lincoln, Jill Christensen of Lincoln, sister of the bridegroom, Sara Christensen of Lincoln, sister of the bridegroom and Amy Oetting of Papillion. They each wore a floor-length, halter-style, two-piece burgundy colored gown. They also carried a bouquet of three burgundy roses with ivy accents. Linda McKenzie of Buena Vista, Colo., cousin of the bride, served as the bride's personal assistant.

The best man was Aaron Wells of Colorado Springs, Colo. The bridegroomsmen were Cory Gearhart of Lincoln, Clint McKenzie of McCook, brother of the bride, Jon Hein of Lincoln and Kevin Bourn of Lincoln. They each wore black tuxedos with burgundy vests and black ties.

The flower girl was Katelyn McKenzie of Allen, Texas, cousin of the bride. She wore an empire waist dress and carried a floral ball of white and cream flowers. The ring bearer was Adam Jahnel of Blair, cousin of the bridegroom.

Ushers for the ceremony were Brandon McKenzie of Allen, cousin of the bride, Troy Monzon of Lincoln and David Jarzynka of Lincoln.

The father of the bride and the matron of honor were vocalists for the ceremony. The pianist was Mark Ferri of Sheridan Lutheran Church.

The reception was at The Delray Ballroom in Lincoln. The host couple was Mike and Laurie Case of Lincoln. Becky Burns of Lincoln served as the guestbook attendant. Linda Koetter designed all the floral arrangements.

The bride has a bachelor of arts and science degree in business from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She is employed as a marketing and integration manager for SolutionOne in Lincoln. The bridegroom has a bachelor of arts and science degree in business from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is employed as a retirement specialist for Nationwide Insurance in Lincoln.

The couple is making their home in Lincoln.
