Francis M. Baumfalk, 95, of Sun City, Ariz., departed this life on Nov. 29, 2003, to his heavenly home. Funeral services are at Columbine United Church, 6375 South Platte Canyon Road, Littleton, CO, 80123, Dec. 9, 11 a.m. Interment will follow services at Chapel Hills Cemetery in Littleton.
Francis was born Dec. 31, 1907, to Mary and Hickey Baumfalk near Ludell, Kan. Francis had seven brothers and two sisters. He was 12 years-old when his family moved to their farm northeast of Stratton.
He was united in marriage to Ella G. Foster in Benkelman, May 4, 1932. They raised three daughters and one son on a farm 10 miles north of Stratton. They were members of the Methodist Church in Stratton.
Francis farmed and raised cattle in this area until 1966, when they moved to Littleton and he went into the electrical business with his son-in-law, Willard Mathews.
In 1975, Francis and Ella moved to Paonia, Colo., where he worked again with his son-in-law building log homes.
1990, Francis and Ella retired and moved back to Littleton, where they became members of the Columbine United Church.
Francis loved the Lord and loved his family. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a host of friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores Utter and husband, Ross of Nowata, Okla., Darlene Mathews and husband, Willie of Sun City West, Ariz., Carol Neumann and husband, Bill of Bailey, Colo., in the summer and Fort Pierce, Fla., in the winter; one son, Dennis Baumfalk and wife, Kathy of Arvada, Colo.; six grandchildren, Julie, Kelly, Greg, Brian, Cathy and Christy, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Baumfalk of Wauneta.
His wife Ella and two grandsons, Steve Utter and Mitchell Neumann preceded him in death.
