ARAPAHOE -- Helena Mary Allice Stansbie, 99, formerly of Cambridge, died Thursday (Dec. 4, 2003) at Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.
She was born March 28, 1904, to Otto and Leonie (Kammerer) Warner on the family farm south of Holbrook. She graduated from Holbrook High School in 1923. She attended the University of Nebraska for one year. She was employed at Security State Bank of Holbrook and later at Cambridge State Bank.
In 1945, she married Albert Stansbie. He preceded her in death May 2, 1946.
She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Altar Society, Hearts and Hands, and Royal Neighbors since 1928.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; one sister, Hilda Irene Snyder; and two brothers, Robert Otto and Harold Francis.
Survivors include three nieces, Katherine Paris, Joan Reiland and Norma Layman; four nephews, Robert Warner, Jr., James Warner, Joe Warner and Jerome Warner; and two cousins, Leo Warner and Lelia Leising.
Mass of Christian burial is Monday, 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Robert Barnhill officiating. Interment will be in the Arapahoe Cemetery.
The rosary will be recited Sunday, 7 p.m., at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge.
Memorials may be given in her name.
