CAMBRIDGE -- Mary I. Siegfried, 79, died Thursday (Dec. 4, 2003) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge.
She was born Dec. 26, 1923, to Robert and Bessie (Goodenberger) Kennedy in Cedar Bluffs, Kan. She grew up in Cedar Bluffs and graduated from Oberlin High School in Oberlin in 1942.
On Aug. 15, 1944, she married Delbert Siegfried in Oberlin. The couple farmed west of Traer before moving to California in 1956. They returned to Danbury in 1986 before moving to Cambridge. For the past two years they have made their home in Arapahoe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edgar, Fred and Walter Kennedy; and four sisters, Printha Weber, Dollie Brown, Vada Leitner and Anna Leitner.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert of Arapahoe and one sister, Sarah Beneda of McCook.
Services are Monday, 2 p.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Charles Hooton officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery in Oberlin.
