NORTON, Kan. -- Bethel Lucille Spratlen, 82, died Tuesday (Dec. 2, 2003) at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kan.
She was born July 3, 1921, to Seigel and Ada (Lyons) Nicholas in Densmore, Kan. She grew up in the Densmore area and attended Densmore schools. She graduated in 1939.
On July 5, 1941, she married Clifford A. Spratlen in Greenfield, Mo. The couple made their home in McCook for 50 years. They moved to Norton 10 years ago.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Wayne.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford of Norton; two sons, Navy Commander Nicholas Spratlen and wife, Emily of Kennesaw, Ga., and Lt. Col. Terence Spratlen and wife, Marte of Layton, Utah; and five grandchildren.
Services are Monday, 11 a.m., at Norton Cemetery in Norton with the Rev. Lew Van Der Wege.

Memorials may be given in her name to Andbe Home in Norton.
