LINCOLN -- Margaret Anne Riepe, 72, of Arapahoe, died Monday (Dec. 1, 2003) at Bryan LGH Medical Center East in Lincoln.
She was born Nov. 24, 1931, to Cecil and Eva (Hosman) Harmon in Elgin. She attended school at Park Center Community School and graduated in 1949 from Elgin High School. She attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated with a degree in dietetics. She worked for the Public Health Service.
On June 11, 1955, she married Leon Riepe at Park Church in Elgin. The couple made their home on a farm south of Arapahoe.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Women's League and Mid Valley Extension Club, all of Arapahoe. She was also a 4-H leader.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Warren Harmon; and sister, Jean Crew.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Riepe of Arapahoe; two daughters, Susan Riepe of Lincoln and Anne and husband, Doug Hadley of Ralston; one son, Douglas and wife, Janet Riepe of Cheney, Kan.; and four grandchildren.
Services are Friday, 2 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church of Arapahoe with the Rev. Carl Lilienkamp officiating. Interment is in the Arapahoe Cemetery.
Visitation is today, 1-8 p.m., and Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe and prior to services at the church.
