She was born Feb. 17, 1917, to Isaac and Susan (Troxel) Berry in Hays County. She attended elementary school in Hays County.
She was employed with White Pelican Cafe in Wauneta.
In 1937, she married Erwin Gehrke. The couple made their home in Big Springs. Her husband died in 1967.
In 1969, she married Charles Pindell. The couple made their home in Cheyenne, Wyo. He died in 1978. She continued living in Cheyenne and took care of her stepson, Donnie. After he died in 2000, she moved to Ogallala to be close to family.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Erwin; her second husband, Charles; one son, Darrell Gehrke; one step-son, Donnie Pindell; two sisters, Phoebe Troxel and Thelma Berry; and two brothers, Elbert Berry and Isaac J. Berry.
Survivors include two sons, Clinton and wife, Sharon Gehrke of Austin, Texas and Carroll and wife, Ruth Gehrke of Gilbert, Ariz.; two brothers, Mike Berry of Ogallala and Orley and wife, Vickey Berry of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Donna Ruggles of McCook, Marcella and husband, Ernest Peterson of Yakima, Wash., and Nona and husband, Gail West of Lincoln; four step-sons, Duane and wife, Rosalie Pindell of Cheyenne, Jim and wife, Barb Pindell of Wheatland, Wyo., Vern and wife, Jane Pindell of Dexter, Mo., and Verlyn and wife, Joy Pindell of Provo, Utah; one step-daughter, Karen and husband, Randy Kinvey of Torrington, Wyo.; and 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services are today, 10 a.m., at Draucker Funeral Home with Jay and Max Towell of the Ogallala Church of Christ officiating. Interment is at Big Springs Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday.
A memorial has been established in her name at Ogallala Church of Christ.
