LITTLETON, Colo. -- Clifford D. Davis, 81, of Engelwood, Colo., died Thursday (Nov. 13, 2003) at Riverfront Assisted Living in Littleton, Colo.

He was born Sept. 1, 1922, to Ora and Lula (Connell) Davis in Kiowa, Colo. He was raised in Kiowa and on a farm northwest of Norcatur and Almena, Kan. He attended school in Norcatur and Almena.

On Feb. 21, 1947, he married Avis Willcoxon at the United Methodist Church in Oberlin. The couple lived in the Denver, Colo., area. He was a painting contractor.

He was a charter member of Colorado Community Church, the Masonic Temple and the Elk's Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George "Rusty" Davis; and two sisters, Merna Wurm and Merle Babb.

Survivors include his wife, Avis of Englewood; one son, Mike Davis and wife, Patti of Aurora, Colo., two daughters, Diana Fellin and husband, JR of Littleton, Colo., and Rene Ottinger and husband, Charley of Eaton, Colo.; one brother, Marvin Davis and wife, Lorraine of Leavenworth, Kan.; three sisters, Wava Markman of Norton, Mildred Carroll of Lakewood, Colo., Delphia Nowels of Oberlin; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services were today at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment was at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Riverfront Assisted Living.
