Lucile L. Monzon, 74, of McCook, died Saturday (Nov. 8, 2003) at Community Hospital of McCook.

She was born Aug. 1, 1929, to Floyd Lester and Thelma Pearl (Clayton) Musgrave in Danbury. She grew up in McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1947. She lived in this community her entire life.

On Oct. 19, 1946, she married Angel Monzon in McCook.

She was a member of the Saint Patrick's Catholic Church and Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Angel; a son, Terry; and a brother, Floyd Musgrave.

Survivors include her children, Linda Atkeson and husband, Roger of North Platte; Frances Simmonds and husband, Dick of Loveland, Colo., Paul Monzon and wife, Eva of Lincoln, Jim Monzon and wife, JaVonna of Lakewood, Colo., and Andrew "Andy" Monzon of McCook; a sister-in-law, Lois Musgrave of McCook; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services are Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Interment is in the Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation is today, 9 a.m.-7 p.m., and Tuesday, 9-10:30 a.m., at the funeral home.

The rosary will be recited today, 7 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given in her name and left at the funeral home.
