Julianne Faye Garrett, 56, died Wednesday (Oct. 29, 2003) at her home in McCook.

She was born Sept. 4, 1947, at Omaha, to Kenneth L. and Angela M. (Lennemann) Pape. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Alliance and Alliance Nursing Academy.

On Jan. 18, 1969, she married Dennis L. Garrett. To this union three children were born. They moved to the McCook community in 1977. She was a LPN and had been employed by Community Hospital, Willow Ridge and McCook Clinic. She was later employed as a secretary for the family trucking firm.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Altar Society. She helped promote funds for the "Comfort Room" at Community Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Pape.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Garrett of McCook; son, Aaron Garrett of McCook; two daughters, Denille Burke and Elizabeth Garrett, both of McCook; her mother, Angela Pape of McCook; sister, Janet Schaffer of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating.

The rosary will be recited Friday, 7 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel.

Memorials may be given to the Right To Life or American Cancer Society.

The body was cremated, friends may sign the book at the funeral home.
