Grace, Miller unite in summer ceremony

Rachel E. Grave of McCook and John K. Miller of Culbertson were united in marriage Aug. 15, 2003, at the Red Willow County Courthouse with Clerk Magistrate Kathy Clapp officiating.

The bride was escorted into the ceremony by her three grandsons, Joshua Grace and Creg and Brandon Barker.

The maid of honor was Lana Lashley of McCook. The bridesmaids were Janice Messersmith of Maywood and Naomi Thacker of McCook, sister of the bride.

The best man was Ronnie Tirrill of McCook. The bridegroomsmen were Larry Messersmith of Maywood and Jim Bond of Kearney.

The flower girl was Shonda Jacobs of McCook, great-niece of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was Joshua Grace of North Platte, grandson of the bride.

The usher was Will Grace of McCook, son of the bride. The guestbook attendant for the ceremony was Donna Stanzel.

The reception was at the lower shelter house at Kelley Park on Aug. 22. Lana Lashley was the host. The guestbook attendant at the reception was Naomi Thacker of McCook. Reception assistants were Lynetta Wine of Wauneta and Linda Lemmert of McCook. Lynetta Wine provided music on the keyboard. And Coon Creek Connection of the Prairie Statesmen Chorus were vocalists. They were accompanied by Merlin Brown, Dan Stevens and the bridegroom. Ruth Ward of McCook made the cake.

The couple honeymooned in Scottsbluff and are making their home in Culbertson.
