Emily Jo Bach and Curtis Kent Lashley, both of McCook, were united in marriage July 5, 2003, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in McCook with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating.
Parents of the couple are Clifford and Phyllis Bach of Valdez, Alaska, and Randy and Carol Lashley of Trenton.
Grandparents of the couple are Arda Bach of Bethany, Mo., and the late J. Einar Bach, the late Julian and Lois Hoschouer, Carl and Augusta Miller of McCook and the late Elmer and Hazel Lashley.
The bride wore a sleeveless dress with a scoop neckline. The bodice was fashioned in a two-piece look. The detachable, wrap-around skirt was adorned with heavy appliques, frosted with glittering sequins. She wore a silver tiara ornamented with crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white and blue roses, interwoven with ivy and wheat. The bridegroom wore a black tuxedo with tails and a black vest and bowtie.
The matron of honor was Gina Witt of Danbury. The bridesmaids were Wendy Beck of Lincoln, Allison Young of Chadron and Megan Lashley of Trenton, sister of the bridegroom. They each wore a two-piece royal blue, floor-length, satin dress with crepe shawls. They also each carried a single, long-stem white rose with royal blue ribbon.
The best man was Cody Lashley of Trenton, brother of the bridegroom. Bridegroomsmen were Michael Baker of Trenton, Aaron Brennan of Callaway and Matthew Bach of Lincoln, brother of the bride. They each wore black tuxedos with royal blue vests and bowties.
Ushers for the ceremony were Josh Teel of Lincoln and Justin Teel of Bassett, both cousins of the bridegroom. The flower girl was Josie Witt of McCook and the ring bearer was Konnor Witt of Danbury. Alex Witt of McCook was the bell attendant and Staci Morris of McCook, cousin of the bridegroom, was the guestbook attendant. Sharlee Hockstein of Wynot was the organist.
The reception was at D's Place in McCook. Host couples were Ron and Gladys Mueller of Seward, godparents of the bride, and Dewey and Carla Teel of Neligh, godparents of the bridegroom.
The cake was designed by Donna Fortin of Oberlin. Cake servers were Jaynee Simon, Bonita Hollenhors, Rita Schafer and Carol Wimer, all of Trenton. Jerry Janousek of Trenton and Kerrie Witt of McCook were the meat carvers.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Hoonah High School in Hoonah, Alaska, and a 2002 graduate of Chadron State College with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics education. She in employed with AmFirst Financial Services.
The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Trenton High School and a 1998 graduate of Northwest Kansas Technical School. He is employed with Howard Kool Motors.
The couple is making their home in McCook.
