Nelda Jean Grim

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Nelda Jean Grim, 53, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of McCook, died Sunday (Sept. 2, 2001) near Needles, Calif., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born Dec. 10, 1947, at McCook, to Leonard and Betty L. (Kusler) Zuck. She graduated from McCook High School in 1966. She attended cosmetology school at McCook Beauty Academy.

On September 6, 1969, she married Gary Grim at McCook. They had been residing in Tucson since 1981. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Gary of Tucson; two daughters, Marcie and husband, Daniel Struble of Mesa, Ariz., and Laura Grim of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Herbert Zuck, and David Zuck and wife, Sue, all of McCook; half-brother, Don Blair of Redding, Calif.; half-sister, Helen and husband, Dennis Hovis of Tacoma, Wash.; mother-in-law Polly Grim of McCook; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Dicke, and Mary Ann Hlavinka, both of McCook; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Carpenter-Breland Chapel in McCook, with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. A private inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation is Saturday, 3 to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name.
