Austin Wesley Jurey
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Austin Wesley Jurey, 91, died Saturday (Sept. 8, 2001) at the Sandia Hospice Pavillion in Albuquerque.
He was born Sept. 20, 1909, at Clifton, Kan., to Wesley Forrest and Jessie Myrtle (Press) Jurey.
On Feb. 12, 1938, he married Ethel Fern Roe in Norcatur, Kan. They farmed in Norcatur and Norton, Kan., Wilsonville and the Cambridge areas until retiring and moving into Cambridge. She preceded him in death on Aug. 13, 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethel; four brothers, Ed, Ervie, Elvin and Walter; and four sisters, Ivalo, Zelza, Opal and infant Blanche.
Survivors include one son, Keith and wife, Linda of Albuquerque; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Calvary Baptist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Tim Burke officiating. Interment services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Norcatur Cemetery in Norcatur.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Sandia Hospice Pavillion and left at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary.
