Bernice G. Mousel, 93, of McCook, died Monday (Sept. 24, 2001) at Community Hospital of McCook.
She was born Sept. 18, 1908, at Lincoln to George and Mayme (Hauptman) Giesler. She grew up at Lincoln where she graduated from high school in 1926. She was a 1930 graduate of the University of Nebraska with a bachelor's of science degree in education. She was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority.
On Nov. 8, 1930, she married Paul Melty Mousel at Lincoln. They made their home in Chicago, Ill., before returning to Nebraska. They resided in Lincoln and Omaha before moving to McCook in 1950 where they spent the remainder of their lives. She was a member of the St. Alban's Episcopal Church, FA Chapter of PEO, the TTT Society, Matinee Music Club and the McCook Art Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Richard Giesler.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn Fitzgerald and husband, James of Englewood, Colo.; one son, Richard Mousel and wife, Deborah of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the St. Alban's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Samuel Williams officiating. Interment will be at the Cambridge Cemetery at Cambridge.
