Lisa Jane Lewis
TOPEKA, Kan. -- Lisa Jane Lewis, 36, died Friday (Sept. 28, 2001) in a traffic accident north of Topeka.
She was born July 7, 1965, at Atwood, Kan., to Robert J. and Jane S. (Sramek) Lewis. She attended Atwood Grade School, graduating from Atwood High School in 1983. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in liberal arts, and went on to law school.
She had been employed by Turner & Bosseau Law Firm in Great Bend, Kan., and Wichita, Kan., and Shamberg, Johnson, Bergman & Morris Law Firm in Overland Park, Kan. At the time of her death, she was employed as an attorney for the State of Kansas Department of Administration in Topeka.
In 1995 she married Mitch Taylor.
She was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority, the Topeka Day Care Board, Topeka South Rotary Club, and the Fairlawn Heights Wesleyan Church.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert J. Lewis on June 3, 1999.
Survivors include her husband, Mitch Taylor of Topeka; one daughter, Delaney Jane of Topeka; her parents, Robert and Jane Lewis of Topeka; one brother, Jeff Lewis of Kendall Park, N.J.; one sister, Kathy Welch of Topeka; and her grandmother, Marvel Lewis of Atwood.
Services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Atwood with the Rev. Wayne Stephens officiating. Private graveside services and interment will be at Atwood Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home of Atwood.
