Carol Ann Springer
OGALLALA -- Carol Ann Springer, 67, of Ogallala died Saturday, (Oct. 27, 2001) at her home.
She was born March 31, 1934, in Lebanon to Freeman and Pearle Magers Gay. Carol received her early education in Lebanon Schools and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1951.
Carol married Dean Springer on Dec. 18, 1951, in Ogallala. The couple resided in Ogallala where she was employed by TRW. She was later employed by Humphrey Auto Supply,
Carol moved to Colorado Springs in 1974 and was employed as a secretary for the Gordon Sign Company, The Richey Contractors and the Brennamon Appliance, She returned to Ogallala in 1990 and was employed by the Ogallala High School.
Carol was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ogallala, and served on the Methodist Church Board, the Ogallala Planning Commission, her hobbies included quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean in 1966; two sisters, Donna Gay and Shirley Gay; two brothers, Delor and Merlin.
Survivors include three sons, Richard and wife, Connie of North Platte, Keith and wife, Kris, and James and wife, Raelene, all of Ogallala; one sister, Janet Moul of Livermore, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Chance and Brian
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Ogallala with the Rev. Ray Norris officiating.
A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and the First United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation.
Inurnment will be at the Ogallala Cemetery.
