INDIANOLA -- Doris M. Fimple, 77, died Monday (Oct. 29, 2001) at her home in Indianola.
She was born Aug. 20, 1924, at Mishawaka, Ind., to Everett and Mildred (Love) Shaw.
She served during World War II as a nurse at Camp Attbury in Indiana.
On April 29, 1950, she married Ernest Fimple at Mishawaka. They made their home north of Indianola on the family farm. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest on Nov. 4, 2000; and one sister, Betty Peters.
Survivors include four daughters, Beverly Bloyd and husband, Monte of Hastings, Mary Anne Fimple of McCook, Janice Sides and husband, Pat of Bartley, and Donna Brown and husband, John of Indianola; one son, David Fimple and wife, Catrina of Mccook; two sisters, JoAnn Chrzan of Breman, Ind., and Leatha Souls of Donna, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at the Church of Christ at Indianola with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating.
Carpenter Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of the arrangements.
