James "Jim" J. Rutt, 52, died Saturday (Oct. 13, 2001) at his home in McCook.
He was born Jan. 7, 1949, at St. Catherine's Hospital in McCook, to Dick and Lee Rutt. He grew up and attended school in McCook, graduating from McCook High School in 1967. He attended McCook College for one year before transferring to Mildord Technical School where he graduated with a degree in computer science. He returned to McCook and worked for Benjamin, Kasl & Corey. He later worked for Burlington Northern where he worked until health problems caused his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his father; one niece; and four grandparents.
Survivors include his mother, Lee Rutt of McCook; one brother, Tom and wife, Creta Rutt of Clarkston, Wash.; one sister, Marcia Spradlin and husband, Kevin of Clarkston; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Private inurnment services for the family will follow. Memorials may be given in his name.
