Selma Tressia (Pingetzer) Thomas

ST. FRANCIS, Kan. -- Selma Tressia (Pingetzer) Thomas, 93, died Saturday (Nov. 3, 2001) at the Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis.

She was born Sept. 23, 1908, in Rawlins County, Kansas, near Herndon, to Michael Z. and Marie Selma (Zieibig) Pingetzer. She was a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ed Thomas in 1992; and one daughter, Shirley Ann Thomas in 1981. Survivors include two daughters, Laura Walden of Bird City, Kan., and Jeannie Knox of Denver, Colo.; one brother, Irl Pingetzer of Ephrates, Wash.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 1 to 9 p.m., at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis, and Wednesday, 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.
