Norris O. Enders
OMAHA -- Norris O. Enders, 89, died Monday (Nov. 5, 2001). He was born June 23, 1912, at Ponca to John and Amelia (Buettner) Enders. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1933. He taught school at Gandy, Stratton and Curtis.
On June 24, 1936, he married Mildred J. Tickler at St. John's Episcopal Church at Harvard. He worked for the federal government, which included work with he USDA Soil Conservation Service in Nebraska, and the USDI Bureau of Reclamation in Nebraska, Kansas and New Mexico. They lived in Trenton, Indianola McCook, Superior, Grand Island, and Farmington, N.M. He also worked in agricultural development assistance in Korea. He later worked in real estate in Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Guy, Jesse, David and his twin brother, John; and three sisters, Alberta Meyers, Lucille Riegle and Frances Nelson Tudor.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Omaha; one daughter, Deeanne Barnette and husband, George Marshall of Huntersville, N.C.; one son, Keith Enders and wife, Linda of Brentwood, Tenn.; one brother, Nile Enders; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were today at the Omaha Central Presbyterian Church. Inurnment was at Harvard.
West Center Chapel of Omaha was in charge of the arrangements.
