Loyall W. Nicholson
Loyall W. Nicholson, 93, died Friday (Nov. 9, 2001) at his home in McCook.
He was born July 14, 1908, at Cambridge to James and Wealtha (Humbert) Nicholson. He grew up in several communities, and graduated from high school at McCreadie, Mo., in 1926.
On Nov. 27, 1936, he married Dorothy Fitch at McCook. They spent their married lives farming southwest of McCook. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, the Jr. Chamber of Commerce, the National Equity Board and McCook Elks Lodge 1434. He was a past president of the McCook Equity Board.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Doyall, Dale, Frances, Blayne, William and Dean Nicholson.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of McCook; two daughters, Charlene Jeager and husband, Gene of Arvada, Colo., and Andrea Bower and husband, Frank of McCook; one brother, Cecil Nicholson of Tacoma, Wash.; one sister, Claudene Miller of Centralia, Wash.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in McCook.
