Lowell A. Stacey
OBERLIN -- Lowell A. Stacey, 88, died Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001) at the Cedar Living Center at Oberlin.
He was born Dec. 28, 1912, at Scottsville, Kan., to Clarence and Jessie (Shunn) Stacey. He was raised in the Jennings, Kan., area and graduated from Jennings High School in 1932. On July 30, 1965, he married Mary Lee Whitmer at Rapid City, S.D. They lived in the Jennings and Clayton, Kan., area. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary (Parsons) Stacey; one infant sister, Greta Stacey, and sister, Ruth Young.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Stacey of Clayton; three sons, Raymond Stacey of Larned, Kan., Ronald Stacey and wife, Lois of Holdrege, and Lowell Stacey Jr. and wife, Kathy of Montrose, Colo.; two daughters, Jacquelyn Stacey of Grand Island, and Lalita Culpepper and husband, Mike of Washington, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were today at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin with the Rev. Charles Keller officiating. Inurnment was at the Jennings Cemetery in Jennings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to the Clayton United Methodist Church.
