Bettie June Owens
TRENTON -- Bettie June Owens, 70, died Tuesday (Nov. 13, 2001) at her home in Trenton.
She was born July 29, 1931, at Syracuse, Kan., to Roy and Elizabeth (Hendricks) Shoup. She grew up in the Lamar and Denver, Colo., areas, and attended high school in Denver.
She spent part of her married live in Denver before marrying Eugene Owens at Englewood, Colo., in 1979. She has owned and operated the Lil' Brave Recreational Vehicle Park in Trenton for the past 19 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two former husbands, James Tweedy and William Robinson; one son, James Eugene Tweedy; and one brother, Gene Shoup.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Owens of Trenton; one daughter, Ryan Owens of Trenton; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Tweedy of Westminster, Colo.; two brothers, Al Shoup of Lamar, Colo., and Art Shoup of Trenton; one sister, Wilma Jane of Oregon; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Trenton with the Rev. Dan Spearow officiating. Inurnment will be at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver.
