Willard "Willie" Leon Lorimer, 64, of McCook, died Thursday (Nov. 29, 2001) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
He was born March 24, 1937, at McCook to Elmer Edward and Virginia Ellen (Troxell) Lorimer. He attended McCook Public Schools and graduated from Milford Community College in 1962.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict and was later honorably discharged.
He spent most of his life as a mechanic and had been living in McCook since 1994.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sibling.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Lorimer and wife, Laura of Imperial and Mark Lorimer and wife, Laura of Holdrege; one daughter, Tena Gerbers and husband, Brian of Lincoln; one brother, Jack Lorimer and wife, Sandra of McCook; two sisters, LaDonna Lindgren and husband, LeRoy of McCook, and Carol Ginther and husband, J.R. of Gem, Kan.; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, 2 p.m., at the Egan Park Baptist Church in McCook with the Rev. Donald Murphy officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 5 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Carpenter Brleand Funeral Home of McCook.
Memorials may be given in his name.
