Lee Eugene Beeson

BIRD CITY, Kan. -- Lee Eugene Beeson, 76, died Monday (Dec. 10, 2001) at the Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis, Kan.

He was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Cheyenne County, Kan., to Earl Foster and Mary Jane (Penn) Beeson.

He was a farmer and rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivor include his wife, Betty (Caster) Beeson of Bird City; one son, Sam Beeson of Bird City; one daughter, Linda Carroll of Gettysburg, S.D.; two brothers, Cleo Beeson of Kanorado, Kan., and Clinton Beeson of Englewood, Colo.; one sister, Ruth Kretzel of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, 1:30 p.m. CST, at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Bird City. Interment will follow at the Bird City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Immanuel United Methodist Church, Hospice Services of Cheyenne County, or the Cheyenne County Hospital.

Knodel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
