Krista Ka Parker
BENKELMAN -- Krista Ka Parker, 12., died Sunday, (Dec. 16, 2001).
She was born April 11, 1989, at North Platte to Jeff and Sherri (Kilthau) Parker.
She was a member of the Girl Scouts and 4-H. She was a published photographer with a Barn Again picture traveling across Nebraska and a photograph published in the Mid-West Messenger.
She sang in the Sing Around Nebraska event when she was a fifth grader, and played the flute in the sixth grade. She attended church with her family at the Church of Christ in Imperial.
She and her father, Jeffrey Parker, died on the same day. Survivors include her mother, Sherri Parker of Benkelman; her brother, Jacob of Benkelman; and grandparents, Roger and Florence Parker of Max, Jack and Irene Kihlthau of Benkelman; great-grandmothers, Elizabeth Phillips of Max, and Leola Meter of Ogallala.
Services are today, 10 a.m., at the Dundy County High School Gymnasium with Glen Osburn and Irvin Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at the Benkelman Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Kristi Parker Scholarship through the Dundy County High School.
