Dianne Ruth Lavery, 49, died Monday (Dec. 24, 2001) at the Great Plains Medical Center in North Platte. She was born Jan. 30, 1952, at Galesburg, Ill., to Duayne and Helen (Frederick) Imel. She grew up at Kearney, and graduated from Kearney High School in 1970.
On May 17, 1970, she married Lloyd Lavery at the First Baptist Church in Kearney. They moved to McCook in December of 1984. She was employed at Walmart for eleven years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Imel on Aug. 29, 1991.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; two sons, Richard Lavery, and Ryan Lavery and wife, Trisha; and one daughter, Amanda Lynn Lavery; her father, Duayne Imel; and two grandchildren, all of McCook.
Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at the Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. James Denny officiating. Interment will be at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege. Memorials may be given in her name, and friends may call at the funeral home tonight until 9 p.m.
