Claudine B. Eisenhart

CAMBRIDGE -- Claudine B. Eisenhart, 83, died Monday (Dec. 24, 2001) at BryanLGH in Lincoln.

She was born Feb. 28, 1918, at Lincoln to Claude E. and Bernice (Casteel) Burt. She attended Lincoln High School and graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1939. She was active in theatre, a cellist and an accomplished pianist.

On July 19, 1940, she married Hugh W. Eisenhart. They moved to Trenton where he was the Hitchcock County Attorney. After he was drafted in 1943, she returned to Lincoln to spend the war years with her parents.

After her husband's return, they moved to McCook, and later to Cambridge in 1946.

She was a member of PEO, the First Congregational Church of Cambridge, and other organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Hugh. Survivors include one son, Eric and wife, Lynn of Cambridge; one daughter, Ellen of Omaha; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

At her request, a private committal service took place.

Memorials may be given in her name to the First Congregational Church of Cambridge, or to the Tri-Valley Medical Foundation.

Lockenour-Jones Mortuary of Cambridge was in charge of the arrangements.
