Crystal Leigh Zimbelman
IMPERIAL -- Crystal Leigh Zimbelman, 16, died Thursday (Jan. 10, 2002) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Jan. 2, 1986, at Perkins County Hospital in Grant to Lonnie and Diane (Rammage) Zimbelman of Enders. She was raised in Enders and attended school in Imperial. She attended McCook Junior High School for her freshman year and was a sophomore at Chase County High School at the time of her death.
She frequently attended camp sessions at Bethel Bible Camp in Wellfleet.
Survivors include her father, Lonnie Zimbelman and Darla, Jason and Jenny Wilson of McCook; mother, Diane and Dan Rogers of Imperial; three sisters, DaniSue and fiance, Mike Shallot of Madrid, Kimberly Zimbelman of Madrid and Roxanne and husband, Jim Johnson of Gering; her grandparents, Ruby Zimbelman and Bill Stock of McCook, Gordon and Janet Rammage of Enders and Dorothea Rogers of Thedford; great-grandmother, Erna Rammage of Omaha; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were Monday at the former Chase County High School gymnasium with Randy Hayes officiating. Interment followed at the Benkelman Cemetery in Benkelman.
A memorial has been established in her name.
Liewer Funeral Home of Imperial was in charge of arrangements.
