Marian M. Browning
WAUNETA -- Marian M. Browning, 82, died Wednesday (Jan. 16, 2002) at Heritage of Wauneta Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Ogallala to C.H. and Minnie (Davidson) Browning. She grew up and attended school in Ogallala.
On Mar. 17, 1938, she married M.R. "Jack" Browning. They made their home west of Imperial. She was a farmwife and was a cook and lunch program supervisor at the Imperial Grade School until her retirement in 1982, when she and her husband moved to Champion.
She was also a musician, playing the organ, piano, and accordion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; one son, Jerry; and one granddaughter, Pat Maddux.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan and husband, Joe Maddux of Wauneta, and Judy and husband, Jesse Miller of Edison; seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, 1 p.m. MST, at Community of Christ Church in Imperial with Jim Smith officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
Visitation is today, 2-6 p.m., at Liewer Funeral Home of Imperial.
Memorials may be made to the Imperial Public Library or Redeemer Lutheran Church of Wauneta.
