Elva Viola Brumagin
ROCKPORT, Texas -- Elva Viola Brumagin, 88, died Thursday (Jan. 17, 2002) in Rockport.
She was born July 2, 1913, at Yuma, Colo.
She lived in McCook for 43 years, and wintered in Rockport until 1992, when she made it her permanent residence.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church where she taught school and later placed her membership at First United Methodist Church in Rockport.
While in McCook she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and served as president of the BPO Does. In Rockport, she served as vice president of the Women's Club of Aransas County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Brumagin in 1996; and by one son, Tracy Brumagin in 1993.
Survivors include one son, Richard and wife, Mona Brumagin of Los Angeles, Calif.; one daughter, Lana Robinson of Reno, Nev.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, 1 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Rockport. Burial will be private.
