William Clark Brock
JENNINGS -- William Clark Brock, 79, died Monday (Jan. 21, 2002) at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
He was born Oct. 17, 1922, to Kenneth and Bertha (Tacha) Brock in Jennings. He grew up and attended school in Jennings.
He served a tour of duty in World War II in the Pacific Theater.
On Aug. 1, 1942, he married Rosa White in Oberlin. The couple lived in Jennings until 1962, when they moved to California where he worked as a meat cutter. In 1984 they returned to Jennings where he lived until moving to Cedar Living Center in Oberlin in 1999.
He attended Jennings United Methodist Church and was a member of Jennings American Legion and the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa of Jennings; two sons, William and wife, Carolyn of Linsborg, Kan., and Robert and wife, Darla of Berlin, Vt.; his mother, Bertha of Oberlin; one sister, Maida Amato and husband, Tom of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at Jennings United Methodist Church with Pastor Glenn Krebs officiating. Interment will be in the Jennings Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in his name.
