Lucile E. Harrison
WAUNETA -- Lucile Eva Harrison, 87, died Wednesday (Jan. 23, 2002) at Heritage of Wauneta Nursing Home, Wauneta.
She was born May 22, 1914, at Spencer to Vaughn and Eva (Cadwell) Ticknor. She grew up and attended school in Anoka. She graduated from Anoka High School in 1932. She was employed as a telephone operator in Norfolk and Alliance.
In January of 1942, she married Clayton L. Harrison in Alliance. Mr. Harrison was in the Air Force and the couple traveled around the world, being stationed in the Philippines, Afghanistan and Washington DC. The couple retired in Georgetown, Texas. She recently moved to Wauneta to be near family.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in Georgetown. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clayton; her sister, Luellen Deming; and three nieces. Survivors include one sister, Vera Whipps of Max; one brother, Lloyd and wife, Jessie Ticknor of Livingston, Mont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Monday at 2 p.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery of Stratton with Francis Baker officiating.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
