Ernestine M. Larson
McDONALD, Kan. -- Ernestine M. Larson, 72, died Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2002) at St. Catherine's Hospital in Garden City, Kan.
She was born on May 23, 1929, to Ernest and Fadelma (Conley) Butts in LaCygne, Kan. She attended Pittsburg State Teachers College.
On Sept. 16, 1951, she married Perry G. Larson at the Federated Church in McDonald. She was the co-owner and employee of Larson Service Oil Company of McDonald. She was also a homemaker and taught school in McDonald.
She was a member of the McDonald Federated Church, the Eastern Star Doric Chapter No. 404, and Chester Phipps American Legion Auxiliary No. 229.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Larson; and an infant sister.
Survivors include her husband, Perry; one son, Danny and wife, Evelyn Larson of Atwood; one daughter, Debby and husband, Tim Wadham of Dover, Tenn.; two brothers, Marion and wife, Patty Butts of Spring Hill, Mo., and Richard and wife, Ellen Butts of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Loretta and husband, Paul Colvin of Paola, Kan., and Estaline Beeman of Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at McDonald Federated Church with the Rev. Gregory H. Moyer officiating. Interment will be at Grace Cemetery in McDonald with concluding rites by Eastern Star Doric Chapter No. 404.
Visitation is today until 9 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home and Saturday from 9 a.m., until service time at the church.
Memorials may be given in her name to the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Foundation.
