CAMBRIDGE -- Henry Noel Blake, 93, died Saturday (Feb. 9, 2002) at the Cambridge Manor in Cambridge.
He was born Sept. 22, 1908, to Edward and Nancy (Warner) Blake near Stockville. He attended Stockville High School and Grand Island Business College.
On July 4, 1938, he married Alice Fern Housley. He worked numerous jobs in the Stockville, Bartley and Cambridge areas before taking the position of Village Clerk for Bartley which he held for 22 years.
He was a member of the Bartley Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Fern; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlene and husband, Marvin Colson of Bartley; three sons, John and wife, Carol of Henderson, Nev., Glenn of Lincoln, and Eldon and wife, Pat of Avon, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge with Roy Hart, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Bartley Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in his name.
